members of our community and campus visitors.
Guests are asked to sanitize hands upon entering any campus dining location; touch-free hand sanitizer stations are
available throughout all dining facilities.
Masks are currently optional inside the Oxford Dining Hall. Should health indicators change, or heightened risks emerge,
indoor masking requirements may be reinstated. Anyone who needs to or prefers to wear a mask is encouraged to do
so. Please visit the EmoryForward masking page for the most up-to-date masking policy at Emory.

PLAN TERMS
All 2024-2025 Oxford College meal plans begin with lunch at 11 a.m. on Friday, August 17, 2024 (first-year move-in) and
end at after lunch on Saturday, May 10, 2025 (Commencement). Please see the dining calendar at the end of this
agreement.
Residential dining meal plan provides access to the Oxford Café (Residential Dining Hall) during regular hours of
operation. Dooley Dollars are provided as a convenience and are intended for use at Oxford’s retail locations (Oxpresso
and OFK), for pop-up experiences like Friday Night Bites and Murdy Monday’s, as well as for use at special events like
‘cue on the Quad. Additional Dooley Dollars can be added to your dining plan at any time during the semester.
Dining Plans are tax exempt. As such, they are nontransferable and for the plan holder ONLY. Any attempt to
fraudulently use the meal membership of another student will result in disciplinary action against all parties.
The dining calendar, facility hours, and menus for all Oxford Dining locations shall be posted on the Emory Oxford Bon
Appetit website https://emoryoxford.cafebonappetit.com/
The dining plan does not cover holidays or breaks when the Residence Halls are typically closed. Dooley Dollars are
accepted during breaks if the facility is open.
Meal swipes are not meal period specific, however, students with an unlimited meal plan may only use one (1) meal
swipe at a time and must wait at least one (1) hour between swipes.
For Oxford Plan A, four guest passes to the Oxford Café (Residential dining hall) are included with your plan. You must
notify the cashier that you’d like to use a guest swipe. Guest swipes are not valid at OFK, Oxpresso, or for special events.
Plans B, C, and D do not include guest passes. An additional meal swipe may be used for guests, however, you will need
to notify the cashier prior to swiping your card for the guest entry.
For all plans, the Dining Plan week begins on Friday at 12:00 am and runs through Thursday 11:59pm.
Unused meal swipes will expire at the end of each semester.
For Oxford Plan D only, any remaining dining hall entries/meal swipes left over at the end of the fall semester will be
added to the swipes you receive for the spring. Unused meal swipes expire at the end of each academic year.
All meal plan charges are billed to the student’s OPUS account each semester. Meal plan costs for the Fall
semester will be submitted to Student Financial Services in August; Spring Semester meal plan costs are submitted in
December.
The meal plan contract remains in effect for the entire academic year.
Emory University reserves the right to change the terms of this agreement at any time without notice.
DOOLEY DOLLARS
Dooley Dollars are an enhancement to your meal plan giving you the opportunity to try one of our retail dining locations
(Oxpresso and OFK) or to participate in special Oxford dining events without any added out-of-pocket expense.
Dooley Dollars have no cash value and are not refundable. Dooley Dollars will not affect your meal plan cost or
OPUS balance due.
Dooley Dollars are used on a declining balance basis and work like a debit account on your EmoryCard. Purchases
are automatically deducted from the balance in your account.
You automatically receive a 5% discount at any Emory or Oxford Dining location when using Dooley Dollars for the
purchase of food items.
Dooley Dollars are also free of sales tax, resulting in an additional 7% discount.

The Department of Accessibility Services (DAS) is also available to assist student’s with more severe allergies where
a dining accommodation might be necessary. If you feel you have a medical need please follow the instructions
provided on the DAS website.
DINING PLAN EXEMPTION
All students residing at Oxford College are required to enroll in one of Oxford’s meal plans.
Accommodations for dining and exceptions to the dining policies and requirements are considered on a case-by-
case basis. Exemptions requested by the Department of Accessibility Services (DAS) are generally the only
exemptions that will be granted.
Students wishing to apply for a meal plan exemption or other dining accommodation, must register with DAS, who is
part of the Office of Equity and Inclusion at: http://accessibility.emory.edu/students/index.html DAS assists
qualified students with obtaining a variety of services and ensures that all matters of equal access, reasonable
accommodation, and compliance are properly addressed.
Medical appeals are the only type of appeals guaranteed by DAS for dining accommodations and must clearly show
why the student is medically unable to eat the food provided by Oxford Dining.
All DAS Verification forms can be found at http://accessibility.emory.edu/students/new-to-oas/forms.html
If your medical appeal is approved, DAS will notify the Director of Auxiliary Operations for Oxford College, who
oversees the Oxford Dining program. The Director of Auxiliary Operations will update your dining plan and request
any updates needed to the charges on your OPUS account.
Medical appeals are only valid during the academic year in which it is granted. Those granted a medical appeal must
reapply for each academic year.
WITHDRAWALS
Students withdrawing from Oxford may be eligible for a dining refund.
Refunds for meal plans are prorated on the date of withdrawal/termination as provided by enrollment services.
Meal swipes are prorated on a daily rate basis.
To properly withdraw from a dining plan, students should send an email from their Emory email account to
OxfordDining@emory.edu. Emails must include your name, Student ID number, and a written request in the
message. Once the request has been completed the student will receive a confirmation email to their Emory
account.
IN CASE OF ILLNESS
If Oxford College Student Health Services has placed you in quarantine or recommended that you isolate for a
period of time, they will contact us and provide your name, a start date, and an end date for your isolation
period. During this time, you can ask your RA, roommate, or another proxy to pack a to-go meal from the Oxford
Dining Hall on your behalf.
o You can look at the day's menu, in advance, and let them know what you'd like
o For the safety and security of your EmoryCard, please do not allow someone else to use your EmoryCard
o To pick up your meals, your proxy will simply notify the cashier that they are picking up a meal for
you. They will provide their name & student ID# on the sheet provided to them by the cashier and we will
log the date & meal being picked up (i.e. breakfast, lunch, or dinner.)
o At the end of the week or the end of your isolation period, whichever comes first, your meal plan will be
charged for each of the meals that were picked up on your behalf.
For non-COVID-related illnesses, when you are just feeling too ill to make it to the dining hall, please contact your RA
or RLC. The RLC for your residence hall will then send us your name and student ID# and work with you to arrange
for a roommate, friend, or another proxy to pack a to-go meal on your behalf. They do not need your Emory
Card. Your meal plan will be charged for any meals picked up on your behalf as authorized by your RLC.
