I received an email notifying me about a friend request, but I do not see it on my account.
Please make sure that you received this request at an email address that is listed on your account. If the request
was sent to a different email address then it will not show in your account. Feel free to send the other person a
friend request from your account. Alternatively, you could ask them to request you as a friend again at the
appropriate email address.
In addition, if someone deactivates his or her account, you will not see the friend request on your Home page.
I’m not receiving email notifications.
We're working on sending fewer emails for people who use the site often and primarily get notifications while
logged in. If you want to select what email notifications you get:
1. Go to your notification settings > Email
2. Click Edit
3. Choose if you want to receive all notifications, important notifications, or only notifications about
your account
Follow these tips to troubleshoot your issue:
Make sure you have not adjusted your notifications settings.
Check your spam or junk email filter to make sure that emails coming from Facebook aren't being
placed in this folder. If they are, be sure to add the @facebookmail.com email domain to your email
account's safe senders list.
If you're still not receiving emails from Facebook, please contact your ISP (Internet Service Provider)
to ensure that they are not blocking email traffic coming from Facebook.
If the issue continues, please report it to us.
I received a notification that someone posted something on my timeline, but I don’t see the post.
Most likely, this person removed the content from your timeline before you were able to view it. Unfortunately,
there is no way for you to view content after it's been deleted.
You might also check out the Known Issues on Facebook Page to review current bugs and issues that may be
related.
My email notification preferences have automatically been turned on/off.
Some peoples' email notification preferences have changed automatically. This problem may be caused by using
the Facebook app on your mobile phone (ex: BlackBerry). If your email notifications were automatically turned on
or off, please let us know.
I got an email asking for my Facebook password.
