Enrollment in any course is subject to availability and course prerequisites/corequisites must be met.
The following English & math placement requirements apply. Institutions may have additional or higher require-
ments:
Information on the courses approved as RHSC units is available on the USG’s Staying on Course document.
Coursework successfully completed at another college or university may also satisfy placement requirements.
Dual enrollment students who have not successfully completed high school Algebra II/Advanced Algebra (or the
equivalent) are not permitted to enroll in any college math course regardless of test scores or high school GPA.
Dual enrollment admission does not guarantee eligibility for funding and students who are eligible for funding may
have some expenses. Students are encouraged to review the GAfutures Dual Enrollment page to learn more about
the funding requirements and limits. Students in the 9
th
grade are not eligible for program funding. Students in the
10
th
grade must have a minimum SAT Total score of 1200 or a minimum ACT Composite score of 26 in a single na-
tional test administration to be eligible for funding while attending a USG institution. PSAT, PreACT and Accuplac-
er scores cannot be used to qualify for 10
th
grade funding.
In accordance with O.C.G.A. 20-3-519, if applicable, male students must meet federal Selective Service registration
requirements to be eligible for funding. Please visit the GAfutures Dual Enrollment Eligibility page for additional
information on the selective service requirement.
Students planning to receive Dual Enrollment Program funding must submit a funding application through their
GAfutures account. The student and parent portion of the funding application must be submitted before the student
is admitted. The high school section of the funding application is required for registration.
The Dual Enrollment Course Directory provides the courses eligible for Dual Enrollment Program funding. Students
may be eligible to enroll in courses not listed on the Directory but are responsible for the cost of their textbooks, tui-
tion, and fees charged by their institution.
Students planning to enroll in any course for which they will not be eligible for Dual Enrollment Program funding
for any reason (enrollment in an ineligible course, enrollment in the 9
th
grade, enrollment in the 10
th
grade without
the minimum SAT/ACT scores required for funding eligibility, enrollment after the funding cap has been met, en-
rollment in a repeated course, etc.) must submit a Self-Pay Course Approval Form. Students enrolling in funded and
unfunded hours must submit both a funding application and a Self-Pay Course Approval Form.
Information about each institution’s Dual Enrollment program, including important deadlines, can be found on
their Dual Enrollment webpage. A link to each institution’s Dual Enrollment page can be accessed at www.usg.edu/
student_affairs/prospective_students/dual_enrollment_applications.
Students should be aware that additional requirements may need to be met for admission and continued enrollment
after high school graduation. Additional information on freshman admission requirements can be found at
www.usg.edu/freshman.
This document is provided as a guide. Admission eligibility is determined after a complete review of an applicant’s
admission application and documents. Meeting the minimums provided on this document does not guarantee ad-
