WOMEN’S BASKETBALL STORYLINES
MEN’S BASKETBALL STORYLINES
OPENING DAY AT LAST
After sitting out its first 11 scheduled games to due a pair of 14-day quarantines, the Ouachita
Baptist women’s basketball team finally hits the court for the first time this season. The Tigers
received their negative test results Thursday morning.
CHASING HISTORY
Seniors Maija Gertsone and Eden Crow find themselves on the precipice of etching their names
in the Lady Tiger record book. Crow enters the season needing just 50 rebounds to tie Leslie
Whitten for 10th all-time. Gertsone is 21 assists shy of tying Traci Garner for 10th in that category.
LADY TIGERS WELCOME EIGHT
In Robert Dallimore’s second season at the helm, Ouachita welcomes eight new players, including
six true freshmen and two JuCo transfers. The Lady Tigers brought in twin guard/forwards Lauren
and Kailen Wright from Connors State College as newcomers with collegiate experience. The
freshman class includes guards Ray Osborn, Dai Brown, Parker Smith and Makenzie Schilmoeller
and forwards Brittney Williams and Hayley Day, who joined the team after a walk-on tryout.

Tigers (Men 1-6, Women 0-0)
FAMILIAR FACE
The Tigers and Bisons will face off for the third time this season Saturday. The two teams have split
the season series so far, with each team picking up a win at home. Ouachita won the last matchup,
78-74 on January 23 after one day of practice following a 14-day layoff.
The last time Ouachita and Harding faced each other three times in one year was the 2015-16
season, when the Tigers won the GAC Tournament. After Saturday, Ouachita will have played as
many games at Rhodes-Reaves Fieldhouse as it has at Bill Vining Arena.
HEATING UP
Ouachita has now improved upon its previous game’s three-point shooting percentage each
of its last five games, after shooting .500 (9-18) from distance Thursday at Southern Arkansas.
Kendarious Smith is 8-14 (.571) from long range over his last three games
SMITH SHOOTING FOR 1,000
Senior guard Kendarious Smith has a major milestone in reach entering the 2020-21 season. After
entering the season with 800 career points, the Conway native needs 102 more this season to
reach the 1,000-point threshold.
Smith would become the 16th member of the Tigers’ 1000-point club if he can average 11.3
points per game over the remaining nine scheduled games. He currently averages 13.5 points
per game.

WOMEN’S BASKETBALL HEAD COACH ROBERT DALLIMORE
Robert Dallimore is in his second season at Ouachita Baptist as the head
women’s basketball coach in 2020-21.
Dallimore joined the Ouachita Baptist women’s basketball program as head
coach in May of 2019 after a 10-year stint as associate head coach at UALR.
At Little Rock, Dallimore helped the Trojans to four straight Sun Belt Conference
West Division crowns from 2010-13; four outright Sun Belt regular-season
titles in 2015, 2017, 2018 and 2019; five Sun Belt Conference Tournament
titles in 2011, 2012, 2015, 2018, and 2019. Little Rock made six trips to
the Women’s NCAA Tournament and three Women’s NIT appearances in
his time with the Trojans. Little Rock reached the second round of the NCAA
Tournament in both 2010 and 2015 and the second round of the 2017 WNIT.
In his first season at
Little Rock in 2009-10, the Trojans received an
at-large bid to their first-ever Women’s NCAA
Tournament, where they upset No. 6 seed Georgia
Tech, 63-53, in the opening round. He was a part
of the staff in 2015 that led the Trojans to another
victory in the NCAA Tournament over No. 6 seed
Texas A&M, and he helped guide the team to its fifth
Postseason WNIT appearance and a First Round
win over Southern Miss in 2017.
Under Dallimore’s guidance, Little Rock earned
automatic bids to three of seven NCAA Tournaments.
The Trojans defeated Western Kentucky in the
finals of the 2011 Sun Belt Tournament to earn the
program’s first-ever conference tournament title. In
2012, Little Rock upset top-seeded Middle Tennessee in the SBC Tournament title game to earn its third
consecutive NCAA Tournament bid. The team returned to the NCAA Tournament in 2015 with a win over
Arkansas State in the Sun Belt Championship Game.
Before his time at Little Rock, he was a co-associate head coach at Louisiana-Monroe for four years. In
his final year with ULM in 2008-09, Dallimore assisted in the Warhawks’ trip to the Sun Belt Conference
Tournament quarterfinals.
Dallimore has amassed a career record of 335-155 as a head coach at the high school and college levels.
His overall career record as a head, associate and assistant coach is 655-319 over 29 years.
Dallimore earned his undergraduate degree in general studies from Louisiana State University in 1987 and
a Juris Doctorate from the Mississippi College School of Law in 1993. He is married to the former Sharon
Tregle. The couple has one son, Caleb, and one daughter, Jordan.
