STOCKING UPDATE AS OF 08/30/2024:
Fall trout and salmon stocking is here! The Fisheries Division plans to stock more than 50,000 trout and close to 2,000
Atlantic Salmon. Our hatchery staff have been working hard and have raised big and beautiful fish. Species scheduled to be
stocked this fall include Brook, Brown, Rainbow, and Tiger Trout as well as Atlantic Salmon. These fish are for you!
“The Daily Cast” – Our Labor Day stocking kicked off the season yesterday and 2,000 rainbow trout were stocked in various
sections of the Farmington River (see below). The forecast and river conditions look good so please stay tuned as our state
fish hatcheries put the final touches on preparing to roll trucks!
The following is a list of waters planned to be stocked by the Fisheries Division during fall/winter 2024/2025. Dates will be
added daily to the “Stocked” column in the table below as locations are stocked. Please get out and enjoy. Anglers should
also check out our Interactive Stocking map for location information. Please note that due to a variety of conditions not
every river/stream stocking location can be stocked on each stocking run. The information is sorted alphabetically by
waterbody name first in table 1 and by town name in table 2. Questions about CT DEEP’s trout and salmon stocking may be
